THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?

Cannabinoids are receptors throughout our brain and body and contained in what is called the System within (Endo) our body. Cannabinoids promote neuroplasticity and mediate homeostasis through various bidirectional pathways.

Cannabinoids enhance mitochondrial function and restore physiological balance.

WHAT IS HEMP OIL?

Cannabidiol (CBD) Hemp Oil regulates the ebb and flow of calcium and stress, autophagy and cell death, the restoration of homeostasis on a cellular level.

Over just the last two decades, more than 20,000 scientific studies and research projects have investigated the beneficial role of Cannabinoids in our systems. The endocannabinoid system and potential for health benefits and improved homeostasis (the process of stabilizing one’s health) obtained through natural hemp oil supplements.

HOW DOES YOUR BODY METABOLIZE HEMP?

The potential health benefits of cannabinoids as in CBD Hemp Oil are thanks in part to the way our body breaks them down through Metabolization. When you take CBD orally, it processes in much the same way as other oral drugs.

Cannabidiol (CBD Hemp Oil) enters into the digestive tract and slowly absorbs through the stomach lining into the hepatic portal system. The hepatic portal system is actually a vital system of veins connecting the stomach to the liver, and also acts as one of the body’s filter systems.

DID YOU KNOW?

CBD is a potent antioxidant, according to the U.S. government, which filed a patent on the antioxidant and neuroprotective properties of cannabinoids based on research from 1998.

THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM (ECS)

We are hard-wired with a system of Cannabinoid receptors throughout our brain and body. When these receptors are activated they permit 2-way communication between body systems, something that the science books had previously taught was impossible. Think of your ECS as a series of cell receptors matched up with specific molecules called “agonists.” The best way to envision this receptor-molecule partnership is that cell receptors are like ports. Each time a ship comes in and docks, the chemical molecules (agonist) are able to bind to that cell, and therefore all of the specific information and directions contained on that ship can be unloaded.

The system called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) literally means “the Cannabinoid system inside the body”.

Endocannabinoids are neurotransmitters that work in both the central & peripheral nervous systems by binding to cannabinoid receptors and receptor proteins. It is a homeostatic regulator found in mammals that helps to modulate all other systems in the body

YOUR ECS IS MADE OF THREE PRIMARY COMPONENTS

1

Cells that allow the receipt and transmission of cannabinoid receptors.

2

Specific enzymes tasked with creating or eliminating cannabinoids.

3

Endocannabinoids, which your body naturally produces and resemble cannabinoid compounds.

There are two cannabinoids that originate from within the body:

CBD1

Situated within the central nervous system.Regulates and enhances:

ANXIETY & STRESS
APPETITE & DIGESTION
THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
CBD2

Found in the immune system, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, & the peripheral nervous system. Helps with:

HOMEOSTASIS
BOOSTING IMMUNITY
COMBATING INFLAMMATION
REPAIRING TISSUE DAMAGE

By regularly supplying our ECS with the nutrients it was designed for, vital communications can be restored between the control centers of the body and every other system.

THE NATURAL BALANCE

Our bodies ideally act in a state of proper function and balance called homeostasis. However, your system is constantly under siege,

When that happens, or your body doesn’t naturally produce sufficient endocannabinoids or regulate them well enough, you become more prone to illness, disease, or generally poor health. So, whenever that critical balance is compromised and homeostasis falters, our endocannabinoid system kicks in, producing and releasing more naturally.

They’re transmitted throughout the body, acting as neurotransmitters that connect with those cannabinoid receptors that reside on the outer sphere of cells. Once they “dock” with these cell receptors, the endocannabinoids share messages about the threat or change in conditions, allowing the cells to adapt and work towards homeostasis, or equilibrium, once again

WHAT IS ENDOCANNABINOID DEFICIENCY?

Endocannabinoid Deficiency (ECD) is having a lack of endocannabinoids and hence a state of Endocannabinoid Deficiency.

Scientists have given the label Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CECD) to the state when our endocannabinoid system becomes compromised or weakened, as proper regulation and balance is disrupted.

When Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD) occurs, a person’s body doesn’t naturally produce enough cannabinoids. Therefore, this individual lacks sufficient chemical messengers to regulate their systems, including controlling the duration and intensity of many of our physiological processes in the brain reproductive organs, nervous system, and more.

BENEFITS OF TAKING HEMP

Scientists believe that with Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD), a person’s body doesn’t naturally produce enough cannabinoids. Therefore, this individual lack sufficient chemical messengers to regulate their systems, including controlling the duration and intensity of many of our physiological processes in the brain reproductive organs, nervous system, and more.

Supplemental benefits of CBD CBD is just one of about 100 cannabinoids naturally present in Hemp. CBD doesn’t just positively affect your endocannabinoid system but also interacts with receptors in your system other than CB1 receptors and CBD2 receptors, including TRPV1, a Vanilloid receptor that channels ions, and 5-HT1A receptors, which help boost serotonin, a known chemical in the brain.

Other minor cannabinoids in CBD can include:
  • > Minerals
  • > Essential vitamins
  • > Antioxidants
  • > Proteins
  • > Fiber
  • > Terpenes
  • > Flavonoids
